About Me
I worked within a sales environment for many years. Not being satisfied with the career I had chosen, I decided to train as a Hypnotherapist - having been fascinated by this field of work for several years.
I trained with 'Hypnosense', affiliated with 'The Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy', under the tutorage of Terrance Watts (principal of the EICH) a highly renowned hypnotherapist, psychotherapist and author of several books including, 'Warrior, Settlers and Nomads'.
I gained a DHP (Diploma in Hypnotherapy with Psychotherapy) after training. Subsequently, after further training I gained a DPsD (Diploma in Psychosexual Dysfunction) at 'The Essex Institute', and became registered as a specialist practitioner with the EICH. See my qualifications...
I developed an interest in hypnotherapy after experiencing anxieties of my own. One being a real fear of motorway driving. I would literally do anything to avoid motorways and some dual carriageways which held me back for a number of years. As you can appreciate, it's difficult to get to some destinations without using a motorway and it did control aspects of my life!
Wanting to tackle my problem, I decided to find out how hypnotherapy works and thought I would like to give it a go - with amazing results. I don't think twice about motorway driving anymore, it's no longer an issue at all.
Having tackled my fear of motorway driving, I felt motivated to tackle my next issue which was a weight problem, which also had been a troubling me for many years. By this time, I had developed a strong interest in hypnotherapy and wanted to find out more. Having read several books on self hypnosis, I then used what I had learned to help tackle my weight problem. I lost 61/2 stone in weight and have maintained this ever since.
It was being so amazed with the positive changes to my life that focused my mind on a desire to understand hypnotherapy and ultimately to train professionally. I am now a qualified Psychotherapist and Advanced Hypnotherapist, and able to help other people resolve their issues too - which is very rewarding!
